Democrat Congressman Bullies Officer, But Watch As Trey Gowdy Nips It In The Bud
Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy of upstate South Carolina has had an incredible year. He has truly emerged as a true patriot in the notorious swamp that is Washington, D.C.
Gowdy is most famous, of course, for the way he brought failed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s many misdeeds to light over the course of his Benghazi investigation, which helped to bring her down.
Yet we should not overlook the everyday, smaller moments where Gowdy proved his mettle, such as when he shut down a Democrat who tried to silence an officer.
Infamous Democratic Congressman Hank Johnson was interrogating a law enforcement officer over illegal immigration. He tried to smear the man, Pinal County, Arizona, Sheriff Paul Babeau, by saying that he didn’t support any immigration from “south of the border.”
Babeu vehemently denied this. Then the Democrat demanded to know if Babeu needed armored vehicles to patrol the border.
Responded Babeu, “We don’t. And this is where …” Then Johnson completely cut the officer off.
Thankfully, Gowdy jumped in and stopped Johnson short, saying, “No sir. Sheriff you may answer the question.
You cannot ask a question and then not allow the witness to answer.” Johnson tried to argue over Gowdy, but Trey wouldn’t let him. How much do you love Trey Gowdy for standing up for law enforcement? Watch below:
